Tubing along the Little River, hiking along nature trails, fishing or just driving in the park sightseeing will make you forget your big city woes and embrace all that nature has to offer.  Townsend River Breeze Inn is less than 10 minutes from Cades Cove, the single most popular destination for visitors to the park, an 11-mile loop with historical buildings, riding stables, and amazing wildlife including bears, turkeys, elk, horses, and birds. Tuckaleechee Caverns, the Foothills Parkway, and the world famous Tail of the Dragon drive are all worth the short drive from the Inn and are sure to build more memories while in Tennessee.

The Townsend River Breeze Inn has twenty-three rooms. We offer single king rooms as well as single or double queen room configurations. There are kitchenettes available and also adjoining rooms that make great family suites. Each room has a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, flat-screen TV, and free WiFi. Extensive room and property renovations were completed in 2020. The renovated rooms have new mattresses and linens, upgraded wood flooring, and flat-screen televisions for your enjoyment. Guest amenities such as coffee, tea, and soaps have been improved and we have new appliances and fixtures in each room as well. Relax in a comfortable rocking chair outside your room. Listen to the river and enjoy the mountain views or cool off in one of our two swimming pools.

For a larger group, family reunions, or if you just want to spread out more we also offer a three-bedroom house on the property that can accommodate up to 12 people comfortably.

The Townsend River Breeze Inn is located directly adjacent to the Historical Townsend Trail where you are free to walk or bike through town and along the Little River. There are plenty of places to eat at nearby restaurants and the Little River offers young and old alike the opportunity to spend the day relaxing on a tubing trip tailored to your skill level. A Brief History of the Inn

In late July 2018, the former Headrick`s Motel, in Townsend, TN was acquired by David Girard. The name of the motel was changed to Townsend River Breeze Inn. He has a long relationship with Townsend. We are professionals in the tourism industry and are striving to keep the "Southern Hospitality" alive!

The former Headrick's River Breeze Motel was built in 1972. Located next door to their home and across from the Little River, it had 6 rooms. Another 4 rooms and a pool were added a few years later. Then in 1999, the motel was extended up the hill above the existing building. Thirteen rooms were added, complete with terraces or balconies and another pool. The motel has always been owner-operated. We intend to keep that tradition alive by offering clean, affordable, and comfortable rooms, all with keeping the true spirit of "Southern Hospitality" in mind.
